SAINT ROMAIN 2017 MOILLARD GRIVOT
Colour: Pale yellow with silver hue in colour.
Nose: The nose opens on a nice aromatic range of fresh fruits, almost exotic. Notes of sour white fruits followed by vanilla hints appear.
Palate: A very fresh (slight acidity) attack with a nice roundness. The mid-palate has a mineral character with flavours of flint and stone. The finish is lively with yellow fruits (peach, pink grapefruit).
Recommendations: Its minerality fits perfectly with fish (fried, steamed or in sauce) or sotf and creamy cheeses such as Camembert, Brillat-Savarin, Brie…
Warning: Last items in stock!
Origin: Saint Romain is located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, just next to the village of Meursault. The vineyard has a South/ Southeast and North/ Northeast exposure.
Vinification: Traditional vinification. The grapes are pressed immediately upon arrival at the winery in pneumatic presses. The alcoholic fermentation takes places in thermo regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 10 months in oak barrels with regular stirring to gain depth and complexity.
Soil: Marl and limestone.
