VOSNE ROMANEE 2013 MOILLARD GRIVOT
Colour: Deep garnet colour.
Nose: Aromas of faded rose, small black fruits and cigar box.
Palate: The mouth is structured, straight and precise, with fine and well-melted tannins, persistent on the finish and a very nice aromatic complexity.
Recommendations: Ideal with refined dishes based on roasted, braised or lacquered poultry or game birds. Its great aromatic intensity also allows it to accompany couscous or tajines. Medium-strong cheeses: Camembert, Saint Paulin, Morbier, Reblochon...

Geographical situation: Located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, above the village of Vosne-Romanée, the appellation includes the most fabulous red Grands Crus of Burgundy: Romanée-Conti, Romanée Saint-Vivant, La Romanée, La Tâche, La Grande Rue, Richebourg and in the neighbouring commune of Flagey-Échezeaux, Échezeaux and Grands-Échezeaux. The most sublime expression of Pinot Noir can be found on these lands.
Vinification: Hand-picked. Traditional vinification in thermo-regulated vats. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for about ten days, long vatting during which punching down and pumping over are practiced in an optimal way. Post-fermentation maceration at 30°C for 5 days.
Aged in oak barrels for 14 months, 40% of which are new.
Soil: Limestone mixed with clayey marl at a depth that varies from a few dozen centimetres to 1 metre.
