PERNAND VERGELESSES 1ER CRU LES FICHOTS 2018 MOILLARD GRIVOT
Colour: Dark ruby colour with purple tints.
Nose: From the very first aromas, one recognises the characteristics that have made Pernand's reputation: mineral notes of graphite and charcoal that mingle with aromas of strawberry and morello cherry, and finely woody nuances.
Palate: The palate is powerful, precise and has a good length. A few years in the bottle will refine the slightly strict tannins on the finish, so typical of the appellation.
Recommendations: Ideal with meats such as beef, roasts, poultry or even pan-fried foie gras. Mild flavoured cheeses such as Chaource, Brie de Meaux, Tomme, Mont d'Or...
Warning: Last items in stock!
Geographical situation: In the north-west of the Côte de Beaune, the village of Pernand-Vergelesses is nestled at the confluence of 2 combes, on the hillside.
The Climat "Les Fichots" is located opposite the hill of Corton, which bears the prestigious red Grand Cru Corton.
Vinification: In thermo-regulated tanks. Cold pre-fermentation maceration, temperature control, long vatting period during which punching down and pumping over are carried out in an optimal way.
Aged in oak barrels for 12 months, 40% of which are new.
Soil: Clay-limestone soils mixed with "chaillots" (siliceous residues of flinty limestone).
