Colour: Deep purple color.

Nose: Seductive nose of cherry and elderberry, married to a discreet smoky oak.

Palate: The palate is also pleasant, beautiful tension with a structure supported on gourmand aromas of ripe fruit and liquorice spice. Persistent and grilled length, suggesting a good aging potential

Origin: The Bonnes-Mares are located just after the Clos de Tart (Grand Cru adjoining) towards the south. It is more extensive on Chambolle-Musigny than on Morey-Saint-Denis and it forms a rectangle between the combes of Morey and Chambolle.

Vinification: Traditional vinification in thermo-regulated vats. Cold prefermentation maceration, control of temperatures, long vatting during which pigeages and pumping over are performed optimally. Post-fermentation maceration at 30° C for 5 days. Aging in oak barrels for 20 months. 60% new oak and 40% barrels of 1 to 2 wines. The oaks come mainly from the Vosges region.

Soil: The basement is made of limestone slabs and white marl. It bears about 40 centimeters of clay-siliceous soil, rather light and gravelly, brown and reddish. The slope is light. Jurassic origin, some 150 million years ago.
